About the Role:
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence of our products at Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc., a leader in designing and fabricating high-quality Pressure Vessels and Heat Transfer Equipment for the global power generation and process industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate customer specifications and provide insightful feedback regarding potential cost implications in relation to TEi standards and regulatory requirements during the proposal phase.
  • Analyze confirmed customer specifications, documenting and integrating special requirements into the Manufacturing Inspection Test Plan (MITP) at the appropriate stages.
  • Review and authorize engineering drawings.
  • Create job-specific Manufacturing Inspection Test Plans (MITP).
  • Compile a comprehensive list of required procedures.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding submitted documentation, including procedures and MITPs.
  • Examine Non-Conformance Report (NCR) content prior to submission for appropriate resolution.
  • Assess NCR content for acceptance of disposition.
  • Authorize procedures as necessary.
  • Prepare documentation for National Board related to repairs and modifications.
  • Review and validate data packages.
  • Generate detailed data reports.
  • Oversee the calibration management system.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of procedures as needed.
  • Verify the accuracy of engineering documentation.
  • Assist in the review of ASME and National Board updates as required.
  • Act as Lead Auditor for Internal Audits, ensuring compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related scientific field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with general steel fabrication practices and methodologies.
  • Experience with ASME or other code pressure vessel manufacturing and inspection.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASME, ASTM, Military standards, 10CFR 50, PED, and Chinese Safety regulations.
  • Proficient in Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) processes, including Visual Testing (VT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT).
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action methodologies.
  • ISO 9001 experience is a plus.
  • Strong skills in reviewing and drafting procedures.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • AWS QC-1 CWI certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Auditor/Lead Auditor certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
  • Familiarity with MS Suites, Outlook, SharePoint, and Lotus Notes.
