Position Overview:
Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and designing infrastructure projects related to naval, port, and cruise facilities. Your expertise will be essential in the following areas:
  • Conducting and reviewing field exploration techniques, including standard penetration tests (SPT), cone penetrometer tests (CPT), dilatometer tests, hydraulic permeability assessments, and geophysical methods such as seismic refraction and shear wave velocity tests.
  • Managing project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that all aspects of waterfront infrastructure projects are executed efficiently.
  • Utilizing finite element modeling to analyze soil and structure interactions.
  • Developing comprehensive contract documents, including construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Preparing detailed design reports and proposals for various projects.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of six (6) years of progressive, relevant work experience.

Additionally, candidates must have:
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in a Civil Engineering or related role.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and waterfront infrastructure initiatives.
  • Proficiency in finite element modeling techniques.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Professional Engineer license.
Work Environment:
This position allows for telecommuting up to two days per week.
