Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Loan Processing, Underwriting, Closing, and Secondary Market lines of business to understand the loan process.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and peer mentors to ensure understanding and expectations of the MLO role.
  • Solicit business and conduct sales-related activities in Realtor/Builder offices, builder models, etc.
  • Meet customers face-to-face during the application process and expedite the process by meeting at the customer's office or other suitable location.
  • Collect and provide mortgage-related information to realtors.
  • Counsel borrowers, take applications, and collect/review documentation.
  • Review documents to ensure qualification and submit qualified loan applications to processing.
  • Build relationships with internal partners across lines of business to deepen existing Seacoast Bank relationships.
  • Attend closings, open houses, referral client lunches, local business association meetings, and/or other outside business-generating activities.
  • Maintain calling reports and prospective loan sales pipeline reports.
  • Accept loan applications and collect all required applicant information while following Fair Lending performance standards and ensuring fair and equal treatment to all applicants.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent years of experience required.
  • College degree in a financial-related discipline preferred.
  • Highly prefer experience within the Hillsborough/Pinellas county market and the surrounding areas.
  • 2+ years of origination, processing, underwriting, or closing experience preferred.
  • 5+ years in business development and/or financial services experience required.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • PC proficiency in Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, and Smartphone devices as well as Microsoft Office Suite software.
