SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for executing a wide range of tasks, including the installation of equipment, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Collaborate with Site Leadership and the EHS Manager to promptly repair, resolve, and maintain all safety equipment and crane systems proactively.

Utilize productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business objectives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out diverse duties to install and maintain production machinery and plant facilities, including lasers, plasma tables, press brakes, welders, hoists, drills, and lathes.
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs for production equipment and conduct scheduled maintenance during routine servicing.
  • Perform basic machinist tasks and responsibilities.
  • Exhibit mechanical skills encompassing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery.
  • Interpret equipment OEM and Wabtec manuals and work orders to perform necessary maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose issues, replace or repair components, test, and make adjustments.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools effectively.
  • Adhere to all corporate and site safety regulations, maintaining clean and organized workspaces.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including building maintenance and motor vehicle upkeep.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with computers and IT.
  • Detail-oriented, precise, and accurate.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong drive for results, capable of working independently.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively as a team member.
  • Proficient with specialized equipment used in daily tasks, hand tools, and operation of light and heavy industrial machinery.
