Compensation

The estimated annual salary range for this position in Colorado is $100,815 - $141,141, while in Washington it ranges from $109,980 - $153,972. Other locations may have varying compensation ranges.

Job Description

This role involves designing and developing complex electronic systems for spacecraft avionics. The successful candidate will lead digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit designs, including flight computing and networking, as well as power switching and interfacing.

You will own the design process from concept to production, ensuring rugged electronic hardware assemblies meet the required specifications. Additionally, you will support avionics controller architecture trade studies and risk analyses.

Effective communication of development status, risks, and challenges to management is essential for success in this position.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in vehicle Avionics systems design, development, test, and operation
  • Demonstrated expertise in electronics hardware development, including complex circuit card design, signal integrity, power, grounding, and general board layout principles
  • Familiarity with various parts and their usage, such as ADCs, DACs, OpAmps, power supplies, FPGAs, microcontrollers, and MOSFETs
  • Knowledge of common communication methods, like RS232, RS422, I2C, SPI, LVDS, Ethernet, CAN, or PCIe
  • Ability to work hands-on, both independently and as part of a team, throughout the development and production phases
