Spacecraft Control Systems Architect

BlackSky is looking for a Spacecraft Control Systems Architect to join our Mission Planning Engineering team. This integrated product team is working to develop and maintain optimal autonomous operations for the BlackSky constellation.
About the RoleWe need an expert in software system design and architecture, data structures, efficient data storage and retrieval, software performance and scaling, and algorithm implementation. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in developing and deploying production-level systems at scale.
The role involves designing and implementing software improvements and features, as well as collaborating with other engineers to ensure smooth integration.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement software improvements and features.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
- Develop and deploy production-level software in Go and Python.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, or a computational field.
- At least twelve years of relevant software development experience.
Estimated Salary: $190,000 - $230,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We offer a competitive compensation package including benefits and opportunities for growth and professional development.
