Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement
Build and maintain customer relationships for construction services.
Guide clients through the construction process.
Collaborate with clients to identify desired upgrades and modifications.
Ensure estimates align with client specifications.
Project Initiation
Evaluate labor, materials, and time requirements for projects.
Create precise sketches and initial scopes of work for construction tasks.
Provide a consistent and detailed initial estimate.
Identify project limitations and necessary enhancements.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to price bid items as required.
Project Planning
Document and finalize the project scope of work.
Engage with external resources as needed to produce accurate estimates (e.g., Structural Engineers, ITEL, Electrical Inspectors, etc.).
Compile well-organized and precise estimates.
Communicate estimates effectively to the Project Manager.
Required Experience and Skills
Minimum of 2 years in construction estimating or insurance adjusting.
Proven track record in customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced mathematical abilities.
Proficient in Xactimate estimating software.
Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Team-oriented mindset.
Valid driving record is essential.
Educational Background
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction science, or a related field is preferred.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods. Frequent driving and sitting are required. Occasional ladder climbing may be necessary. Employees may encounter extreme conditions such as heat, and noise levels can be high in work environments and job sites.
Work Schedule and Travel
This is a full-time role, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. The position may require extended hours, on-call duties, and weekend work. Local travel is a requirement.
Compensation is based on experience.
Each SERVPRO Franchise operates independently.
