About the Role

As an Assets Protection Team Leader at Target, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. You will be responsible for leading a team of hourly team members, implementing departmental daily and weekly workload priorities, and responding to external theft incidents. Your expertise will be essential in preventing future theft, apprehending individuals attempting to cause a loss, and partnering with store business leaders to drive operational shortage priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Safe and Secure Culture: Implement crisis response, safety environment, and crowd management planning to ensure a secure and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
  • Implement Departmental Workload Priorities: Develop and execute daily and weekly workload priorities to support business objectives and drive results.
  • Respond to External Theft Incidents: Investigate and resolve external theft incidents, and develop strategies to prevent future theft.
  • Partner with Store Business Leaders: Collaborate with store business leaders to drive operational shortage priorities and implement strategic resolutions to external theft and fraud.
  • Lead and Develop a Team: Lead a team of hourly team members, including interviewing, developing, evaluating, and retaining talent.
Requirements
  • Age 18 or Older: Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
  • High School Degree or Equivalent: Must have a high school degree or equivalent to apply.
  • Previous Retail and/or Loss Prevention Experience: Previous retail and/or loss prevention experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to Lead and Hold Others Accountable: Must be able to lead and hold others accountable for their actions and performance.
  • Ability to Communicate Effectively: Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and store business leaders.
