Position Overview

Are you eager to contribute to a mission that impacts the health of individuals globally? QPS, LLC is seeking an Associate Scientist I to join our GBA division. In this capacity, you will be integral to the enhancement of our bioanalytical services, supporting the development of small molecules, antibody-drug conjugates, proteins, and gene therapies.

As an Associate Scientist I within our Bioanalytical team, you will operate under close supervision, engaging in sample preparation through various extraction techniques. Your responsibilities will include analyzing drugs and their metabolites in biological specimens to facilitate preclinical and clinical drug development in compliance with GLP standards, as well as documenting study outcomes and observations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine laboratory tasks, including sample extraction, reagent preparation, and operation of automated liquid handling systems, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Support the Principal Investigator in executing quantitative analyses of drugs and metabolites in biological samples using validated LC-MS/MS methods, adhering to GLP regulations.
  • Accurately document experimental details, calculations, results, and observations in compliance with GLPs and SOPs.
  • Utilize basic mathematical skills for routine calculations.

Work Environment

  • This position is entirely based at QPS facilities.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry is preferred; however, degrees in Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related scientific fields will also be considered.
  • An advanced degree or a combination of relevant education and experience that provides adequate knowledge and skills may be acceptable.
