Position Overview: Lead and oversee engineering initiatives pertaining to transmission, substations, and distribution networks to guarantee uninterrupted service, optimize system performance, and ensure the prudent use of resources, including personnel, vehicles, equipment, materials, and finances, to support the organization's mission and objectives.

Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required; a focus on power systems is preferred.
- A current Professional Engineer (PE) License is highly desirable.
- At least five (5) years of successful senior management experience is essential, along with management and supervisory training.
- Experience in conducting distribution and transmission planning studies, including load growth, voltage, and power factor analysis.
- Preferred experience in the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of transmission, substation, and distribution lines.
- Familiarity with electric system meters, relays, and testing equipment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in personal computer applications relevant to this position, such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, ESRI-based ArcGIS, and engineering analysis software is preferred.
- Experience or the ability to learn NISC Mapwise, OMS, CIS, and ABS applications is beneficial.

- Comprehensive understanding of accident prevention procedures and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Proficient math, reading, and writing skills necessary for job functions.
- In-depth knowledge of distribution, transmission, and substation system design, construction methods, maintenance, and operations.
- Ability to gain familiarity with the FERC accounting system.
- Understanding of electrical fundamentals and the operation of the organization's electrical systems.
- Familiarity with computer-aided drafting and its various applications.
- Capability to configure and operate complex engineering analysis software programs or collaborate with relevant partners.
- Knowledge of NESC, NEC, WAC 296 Chapter 45, and other related codes and organizational specifications and regulations.
- Compliance with OSHA regulations is required.
