Job Summary

This is a coaching position at the South Kitsap School District. The district operates on a semester system and aims to develop and promote learning in a safe, caring atmosphere.

Basics of the Position
  • Capable of coaching all phases of the sport.
  • Assist in the administration of contests.
  • Attend all practices as designated by the head coach.
  • Supervise the locker room – home and away.
  • Available for home and away contests, including some Saturday commitments.
  • Be available to drive team vans.
  • Demand strong team discipline and sportsmanship.
  • Follow all coaching duties listed in the district and league handbooks.
  • Reports to the district athletic director and school principal.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current certificated employee of the South Kitsap School District.
  • Previous participation in the sport.
  • Previous coaching experience.
Requirements
  • Valid and up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification prior to beginning coaching experience.
  • Meet coaching certification standards as set forth by the district and the league.
  • Valid Washington driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Fingerprints prior to beginning coaching experience at the expense of the employee (Washington State Patrol and FBI Background Clearance).
Season and Salary

This is a fall position with a salary as per negotiated contract and verified coaching experience from another school district.
