Job Overview

Gerber Childrenswear LLC is seeking a seasoned IT leader to drive technology innovation and modernization across the organization. As the Director of IT, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's technology strategy and ensuring that our IT infrastructure supports our growth and competitive edge in the apparel industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technology Modernization: Lead the assessment, design, and implementation of a comprehensive IT modernization strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives. Transition from legacy systems to modern, scalable solutions that support current and future needs.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements across the IT department and related business functions, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning. Ensure the team is equipped with the skills and knowledge to support the company's transformation.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with technology vendors, ensuring that the company is leveraging the best tools and services while managing costs effectively. Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Ensure the company's IT infrastructure is secure, resilient, and compliant with industry regulations and standards. Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and intellectual property.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and product development, to understand their needs and ensure IT systems support business goals. Communicate the IT strategy and initiatives effectively to the executive team and other stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support both ongoing operations and strategic initiatives. Identify opportunities for cost savings through process improvements and technology investments.
  • Innovation & Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies that could benefit the company. Propose and implement new solutions that drive innovation and maintain the company's competitive edge.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale IT transformations in a manufacturing, retail, or apparel company.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of legacy systems and experience in migrating to modern ERP, CRM, and other enterprise-level systems. Proficiency in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team through significant change, with a focus on employee development and engagement.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to align IT strategy with business objectives and drive technological innovation that supports the company's growth and operational efficiency.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing large, complex projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
