$28.00 Hourly, based on experience and location.

Schedule

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with Tuesdays and Saturdays off.

The Role:


The Produce Quality Specialist is tasked with assessing the condition of incoming products and determining the necessary actions to manage the produce effectively.

The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in product categorization and color chart evaluation to expertly classify the produce.


Charlie's operates in a fast-paced environment where high inventory volumes demand meticulous tracking and adherence to proper procedures using our warehouse management system to ensure inventory accuracy.

As the Produce Quality Specialist, you will maintain a daily inventory of all commodities, requiring exceptional attention to detail and a low tolerance for discrepancies.


Job Duties:
Conduct daily inventory checks for all item codes under your responsibility.

Inspect bananas and other commodities upon arrival for ripeness.

Manage the ripening process of bananas and other commodities according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Plan effectively for timely delivery and fill rates of all item codes involving ripened products.

Perform quality checks, sorting, and grading of bananas in the warehouse, managing any rejections appropriately.

Monitor stock availability and coordinate arrangements to ensure timely deliveries.

Adhere to scheduled guidelines for monitoring ripening status.

Work independently with a self-driven approach.

Foster strong internal relationships and communication with the purchasing team.

Qualifications:

Required Experience:
Intermediate English skills (reading/writing/speaking) are essential.

Basic computer proficiency is required.

A minimum of 1 year of warehouse or picking experience.

1+ years of experience operating riding pallet jacks and forklifts (both stand-up and sit-down).

Previous experience with RF scanners in a warehouse setting is necessary.

Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Basic math skills are required.

Experience with inventory management is essential.

Excellent time management and teamwork abilities.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
