Job Title: Vice President: Operational Due Diligence

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President to join our Operational Due Diligence team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting operational due diligence on investments across private equity, private credit, real estate, public equities, and other alternative investments and emerging financial instruments and funds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct operational due diligence on investments to identify and assess risks associated with the operations of private and alternative investment strategies.
  • Evaluate the overall quality of fund systems, controls, infrastructure, and personnel to identify issues and risks relevant to the overall investment decision.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Investment Team, Data Team, and Legal Team, to ensure effective risk management and investment decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Forensics Journalism, Business, Law, Accounting, or other relevant major.
  • Experience in the alternatives space, including private equity and hedge funds.
  • Understanding of processes within financial institution operations, knowledge of investment strategies and instruments, and general working knowledge in areas such as operational infrastructure and internal control design, safeguarding of cash and authorization of cash movements, independent custody of assets/reconciliation of cash and positions, valuation of investment portfolios, trading operations, counterparty risk management and treasury practices, and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with fast pace and to multi-task, and a high degree of integrity and ethics.
