Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Level Electrical Engineer to join our Seattle or Federal Way office. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in medium/low voltage power distribution systems, grounding systems, lighting systems, communications systems, electrical equipment design, and selective coordination and arc flash studies.

Responsibilities
  • Completes multiple or complex electrical designs to support firm-wide projects by working with Project Managers (any discipline) and electrical teammates.
  • Provides multiple or complex design calculations, design drawings, and project specifications for medium/low voltage power distribution systems, microgrids to projects in the offshore wind industry, lighting systems, lightning protection systems, grounding systems, communications systems, control systems, electrical equipment design, and electrical calculations, selective coordination, and arc flash studies.
  • Prepares detailed large contract documents, studies, and cost estimates.
  • Submittal reviews and construction observations for electrical work on projects.
  • Assists in company-wide Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; required.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering; preferred.
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) in Electrical Engineering; required.
  • 10+ years of related experience in medium/low voltage power distribution systems, grounding systems, lighting systems, communications systems, electrical equipment design, and selective coordination and arc flash studies.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit; required.
  • Proficiency in ETAP or EasyPower and AGI32; preferred.
Physical Requirements

Majority of work is office-based. Some site visits to meet with clients, sub-consultants, utilities, and other parties to investigate site conditions and meet project requirements. Site visits may also include working around live electrical equipment and systems.
