About the Role

Hartford Healthcare (HHC) is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their Surgical Critical Care team. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be an essential part of the multidisciplinary team that plans and delivers care for complex surgical and trauma patients in the ICU.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
  • Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
  • Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider's practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
  • Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • 1+ years as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, ideally in a critical care/ICU setting
