About the Role
Hartford Healthcare (HHC) is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their Neurocritical Care team. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that plans and delivers care for critical neuroscience patients with a focus on those with neurological and neurosurgical diseases and related disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
- Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider's practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.
About the Team
You will be part of a team that includes over 200 Neuroscience physicians and advanced practitioners, with training and expertise in the areas of vascular neurology, neuro-oncology, neuromuscular neurology, movement disorders, epilepsy, headache and pain management, cognitive neurology, neurosurgery, neuro ophthalmology and general neurology.

- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible).
- Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
