Kalepa Insurance Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Underwriting Account Service Analyst to enhance our National Accounts - Large Casualty Underwriting division. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with seasoned Underwriters to conduct thorough evaluations and analyses of risk factors.
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility while ensuring you remain connected with our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive reviews and assessments of risk exposures, control measures, historical loss data, and financial stability, providing recommendations or making underwriting decisions in line with established risk parameters.
- Proactively identify underwriting information needs and seek out alternative data sources to deepen understanding of risk profiles.
- Provide insights and recommendations regarding policy rating, pricing strategies, policy structure, coverage options, and necessary documentation to ensure accurate policy quotations and renewals.
- Independently develop and implement account servicing strategies, collaborating with Underwriters to manage servicing processes for new business, renewals, and endorsements for complex accounts.
- Facilitate interactions with brokers, agents, and clients, ensuring well-prepared and purposeful engagements to address account servicing needs.
- Mentor and support new team members, offering guidance and coaching to peers based on performance outcomes.
- Assist in resolving complex transactions and issues, educating colleagues on the rationale behind solutions.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned, enhancing overall team performance.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Insurance, Underwriting, or Market Facing roles.
- Completion of Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice program, including an Associate Degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in Insurance, Underwriting, Finance, Accounting, or Banking.
- Strong understanding of the insurance sector and its regulatory landscape.
- Proficient in data collection and analytical techniques.
- Familiarity with processing, rating, and policy management systems in the insurance domain.
- Demonstrated customer service capabilities.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing diverse product portfolios across multiple insurance lines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- In-depth knowledge of underwriting principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with national and local insurance filing regulations.
- Understanding of international insurance frameworks.
