Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Labor Management
    • Develop and implement effective scheduling systems to ensure optimal labor costs and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Food Cost Control
    • Monitor and control food costs through accurate inventory management and ordering procedures.
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs and preferences of our guests.
    • Ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Management and Development
    • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results.
    • Provide coaching and training to ensure that all staff members have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation
    • Ensure that all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed at all times.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available when needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
    • ServeSafe Certification and Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role.
    • Proven track record of success in leading kitchen operations and achieving exceptional results.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
    • Ability to manage inventory, labor costs, and food costs.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
