Key Responsibilities:- Manage staff scheduling to optimize labor costs.
- Assess food and supply needs using production systems to maintain budgetary control.
- Ensure timely availability of ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Provide ongoing training and motivation to kitchen staff.
- Coordinate the introduction of new menu items with the corporate executive chef.
- Plan food production to align with service hours, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Supervise the preparation of all food items, adhering to standard recipes and dietary requirements.
- Oversee portion control for food service.
- Properly store and handle raw and prepared foods, ensuring accurate labeling.
- Maintain compliance with local health department regulations in food handling.
- Implement proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and costs.
- Report equipment maintenance needs and facilitate necessary repairs.
- Act as a liaison for staff-related issues, communicating with Human Resources.
- Adhere to all uniform, grooming, safety, and sanitation protocols.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Possession of ServeSafe Certification & Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic math skills for inventory and cost management.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions effectively.
- Experience in supervising and motivating team members, with a strong understanding of management practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and creative skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Effective delegation of responsibilities among team members.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making abilities.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, steamers, mixers, and knives.
