**Job Summary:**

The Banquet Captain is a key member of our team, responsible for coordinating and overseeing entire banquet functions to ensure proper execution and guest satisfaction. This role requires a personable and professional individual who can work in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Review and coordinate banquet staff functions and menus prior to events.
  • Conduct pre-banquet meetings with staff to ensure appearance and hygiene standards are met, assign stations and partners, and review banquet event orders.
  • Communicate with the Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager or event coordinator to ensure all details are planned and met.
  • Ensure proper handling of equipment and their storage after use.
  • Conduct random audits during functions to evaluate food and service.
  • Regularly review banquet schedules for changes and special events.
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

**Qualifications:**

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.
  • Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
