We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biosystems Engineer to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our Polymer and Coatings Research and Production team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial biomaterial and bioprocessing applications.
Key Responsibilities- Create and implement process design strategies for bioprocessing and fermentation systems.
- Maintain bioprocessing equipment.
- Coordinate with teammates on best equipment and procedures to enable low cost, high productivity research and manufacturing capability using developed organism and techniques.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- A solid understanding of basic engineering principles and detailed comprehension of Biosystems Engineering techniques and concepts.
- A working knowledge of bioprocessing and fermentation techniques as well as practical bioprocessing experience.
This position will involve significant hands-on laboratory and pilot scale work, including physical labor associated with maintenance of large-scale processing equipment.
