Research Professional I

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Professional to join our team at the University of Georgia's Savannah River Ecology Lab. The successful candidate will assist with ongoing research projects investigating biomass production and nitrogen cycling in intensively-managed forest plantations.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze biomass production and soil chemistry data from an experiment designed to assess the effects of silvicultural treatments on tree productivity and nitrogen cycling.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals to major funding institutions to support current or future research.
- Collaborate with other project scientists in cross-study syntheses and modeling efforts.
- Assist with the daily operations of the laboratory as needed.
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
