Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Contracts Manager to join our team at CAES. As a key member of our contracts administration team, you will be responsible for managing complex contracts, developing proposals, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Administration: Lead the administration of complex contracts, including proposal development, contract negotiation, and contract closeout.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Intellectual Property: Preserve intellectual property through timely identification and notification of IP to the government.
  • Contract Risk Management: Identify and mitigate contract risks, including scope changes, contract modifications, and disputes.
  • Team Leadership: Represent the company as team leader on complex contracts and projects.
  • Contract Strategy: Contribute to contract strategy meetings to identify issues and customer needs.
  • Program Monitoring: Monitor programs and proactively identify and resolve problems related to contract administration.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, law, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in contracts administration, with a proven track record of managing complex contracts and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills, knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations, and experience with contract management software.
  • Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications, such as DAWIA Contracting Level 3 or CPCM.
