Aircraft Technologist: Engine and Avionics Maintenance

**Salary Range**
$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
**Job Description**
As an Aircraft Technologist: Engine and Avionics Maintenance with Amentum, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and inspecting aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment. This includes removing and installing aircraft components, conducting functional tests of repaired components and systems, and adjusting, aligning, and rigging aircraft systems.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
a. **Technical Knowledge**: You must have knowledge of principles applying to aircraft systems, concepts, and applications of maintenance directives and data reporting. You should also be familiar with Air Force supply procedures and the proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials.
b. **Education**: A high school diploma or equivalent with courses in mathematics is desirable. Completion of an advanced applicable aircraft maintenance course is mandatory.
c. **Experience**: You must have qualification as an Aircraft Mechanic and a minimum of five years of experience performing functions such as repairing and maintaining aircraft equipment or components.
d. **Special Certifications**: A minimum of four years of documented maintenance experience on C-130 aircraft systems is required, as well as qualification as an Accessories Flight Hydraulics Section Technician. SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED.
