Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and gain hands-on experience in managing a retail store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train store staff to ensure excellent customer service and high store performance
  • Develop and implement operational action plans to drive sales growth and improve store efficiency
  • Manage store inventory, including ordering and receiving products, and maintaining accurate stock levels
  • Conduct regular store meetings and provide feedback to staff to ensure mutual understanding and desired results
  • Identify and address any customer concerns and ensure prompt resolution
  • Monitor and maintain store appearance, including proper signage and product displays
  • Assist in the hiring and training of new store staff
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend promotions or terminations as necessary
  • Manage store payroll and total loss budgets
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior management experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
  • Ability to establish goals and drive performance of self and others
  • Ability to understand and apply management principles concerning budgeting, personnel costs, and expenses
