Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at New York Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

About the Role

  • Float to all required locations as needed to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Perform daily opening and closing procedures to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally, making them feel welcome in our facilities.
  • Assist in comforting patients and maintaining a comfortable reception area.
  • Answer telephones, respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and schedule patient appointments efficiently.
  • Collect co-pays and balance the total finances of the office on a daily basis.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.
  • Build and maintain accurate patient records using our practice's electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Collaborate with nurses to monitor and respond to incoming messages from Care Team inboxes.
  • Monitor daily visit lists to ensure all patients requiring appointments are scheduled accordingly.
  • Protect patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work within a team concept and accept direction as needed.
  • Proficiency in typing and computer skills is an asset.
  • Strong customer service skills to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Previous experience is an asset, but not mandatory.
  • Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.
