Job Overview

Horizon Farm Credit is in search of a skilled Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Manager to enhance our operational integrity while implementing innovative risk management strategies. This role is crucial in ensuring that our organization navigates third-party relationships effectively within a collaborative and growth-focused atmosphere.

Position Summary: As the TPRM Manager, you will spearhead the enhancement of our Third-Party Risk Management framework. Your responsibilities will include establishing policies and governance structures, providing risk advisory services, and balancing risk with business opportunities. You will oversee vendor risk assessments and control evaluations, ensuring seamless and secure operations. Additionally, you will manage procurement processes for operational vendors, including the preparation of RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

In your role as the TPRM Manager, you will:
  • Develop and maintain a risk-based framework for TPRM, focusing on critical vendors that could impact HFC's business objectives.
  • Offer strategic insights to refine and streamline the framework, ensuring alignment with risk-reward principles and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain a detailed inventory of third-party vendors, categorized by service criticality, risk, and other essential attributes to manage vendors supporting key business functions.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments in key areas such as information security, compliance, financial stability, and operational resilience.
  • Implement continuous monitoring processes to track vendor risk profile changes, regularly updating assessments as necessary.
  • Create comprehensive reports that highlight critical risk metrics and insights for leadership, aiding in informed decision-making.
  • Identify and escalate risks related to vendor dependencies and fourth-party relationships, ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance stakeholder understanding of third-party risks, empowering informed decision-making.
  • Oversee communication with vendors regarding RFPs, RFQs, pricing, and contract management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Insurance, Banking, or Asset Management is preferred.
  • Strong grasp of the TPRM lifecycle, including vendor onboarding, due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and offboarding.
  • In-depth knowledge of third-party vendor risks, encompassing cyber, operational, and financial aspects.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to influence and motivate cross-departmental teams.
  • Ability to assess and prioritize business-relevant risks from third-party relationships and identify effective remediation strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills for engaging with management and internal stakeholders.
  • Capability to identify compliance gaps within internal policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills, with adaptability to changing environments.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.
