Geotechnical Associate

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Associate to join our team in the Mid-Atlantic region. As a multi-discipline firm, we provide a full range of engineering and consulting services, including geotechnical engineering, surveying, and construction management.

• Perform field sampling and characterization of subsurface conditions to support geotechnical investigations.
• Provide third-party oversight and testing during foundation and earthwork construction activities.
• Prepare field reports and logs summarizing work performed.
• Complete safety training required by the company, clients, and jobsites.
• Prepare and implement health and safety plans (HASPs).
• Obtain and maintain state and federal clearances, if required by project.
• Meet deadlines mutually established between project manager and clients.
• Prepare proposals for geotechnical engineering services.
• Assist with mentoring and training of other associates.

• 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Geology required; Masters degree with Geotechnical specialty or desire to pursue is preferred.
• EIT or GIT Certification required; PE or PG License preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff, co-workers, management, and clients.
• Strong verbal communication skills, technical writing ability, and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working outside in diverse weather conditions.
• Ability to travel to project sites is required along with a valid driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to work flexible schedule.
• Ability to obtain state and federal clearances, if required by project.
