About the Job

The Child Development Specialist will work with a team of educators to provide instruction and supervision in a safe and healthy learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with infants and toddlers and be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction and supervision in a safe and healthy learning environment for children.
  • Work in partnership with parents to promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children.
  • Encourage parent engagement in all aspects of the program.
  • Plan and implement indoor/outdoor activities with children utilizing the curriculum, Head Start mandated outcomes and the Early Learning Framework.
Requirements
  • CDA in Early Childhood Education.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with infants and toddlers.
  • Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $54,262 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
