Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team at Williamson Health. This role requires at least one year of pediatric nursing experience, with a focus on providing high-quality care to children admitted to our specialized pediatric unit.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of pediatric patients, developing individualized care plans in collaboration with pediatric hospitalists and child life specialists, and advocating for the needs and best interests of pediatric patients. They will also provide family-centered care, explaining treatment plans and procedures to patients and their families, and maintaining hospital and unit specific competencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides comprehensive care to children admitted to the hospital on our dedicated pediatric unit for various medical conditions.
  • Ensures the patients receive the highest quality of care during their hospital stay.
  • Conducts thorough assessments of pediatric patients to determine their medical needs and monitor their progress.
  • Works closely with our board-certified pediatric hospitalists and child life specialist to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Explain treatment plans and procedures to patients and their families, offering emotional support and reassurance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)

Salary Estimate:

$83,654 - $114,250 per annum, depending on experience.
