We are seeking a dedicated Education Specialist for our Office of Early Learning at Davis Elementary. As an integral member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of infants and toddlers by providing high-quality comprehensive services that foster successful parent engagement and positive child outcomes.

The UPO Office of Early Learning focuses on helping children from birth to age 3 grow and thrive in a healthy, supportive environment. Our Early Head Start programs equip infants and toddlers with the tools needed to develop their social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and language skills, setting them on a path to happiness and success.

As an Education Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

Providing instruction and supervision in a safe and healthy learning environment for children.

Working in partnership with parents to promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children.

Encouraging parent engagement in all aspects of the program.

Collaborating with colleagues to implement curriculum materials, plans, and instructional strategies that support children's diverse learning styles and refine instruction.

Facilitating communication with families to discuss child progress and promote learning.

Modeling health and safety practices according to USDA and state regulations, ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy physical classroom and playground environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A CDA in Early Childhood Education or related field.

At least one year of experience working with infants and toddlers.

Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.

Basic to intermediate computer skills, including internet and email proficiency.

Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

The salary range for this position is $54,262 per year, commensurate with education and experience, and includes a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, sick leave, personal days, and holidays.
