Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at Bachem. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the coordination and direction of facility and equipment maintenance, ensuring full compliance with GMP requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure full compliance to policies and guidelines, including GMP and EHS regulations.
    • Proactively work to identify equipment replacement needs and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Maintenance Program Development
    • Develop and implement changes to the Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Programs to ensure full compliance.
    • Prepare budgets for the Maintenance Engineering department and maintain costs within budgeted expenses.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise and train employees in the interpretation of company policies, goals, and objectives.
    • Maintain an adequate workforce to support present needs and plan for departmental requirements in the future.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Maintain and troubleshoot key equipment and ensure continuous and smooth operation.
    • Coordinate with all departments in technical matters dealing with plant infrastructure, instruments, and equipment.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with management, department managers, and employees to ensure seamless operations.
    • Participate as a key member of the management team and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering.
    • 10+ years relevant experience in facility and equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and engineering.
  • Technical Skills
    • Experience with equipment and instrument qualification and calibration.
    • Technical knowledge of facility equipment, analytical instrumentation, process equipment, and all associated applications.
  • Soft Skills
    • Ability to manage and lead a team.
    • Proficiency with technical writing and communication.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $114,160 - $156,970, annual performance bonus, a generous benefit package, 401(k) plan with employer contribution, and paid vacation, personal, and sick days.
