Social Media Director

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Social Media to join our Home team at Dotdash Meredith. The successful candidate will partner with editorial and business leads to implement and evolve the social media strategy for Real Simple and The Spruce, driving brand awareness, increasing traffic, and growing our audience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a cohesive social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, and Twitter.
- Collaborate with editorial teams to plan, launch, and manage creative social promotions that support on-site content and community engagement.
- Track, analyze, and report data and insights on our growth and engagement, interpreting social analytics and reporting to senior management.
- Write compelling, social-friendly copy that reflects our brand voice and values, and train the editorial team to write social headlines that drive clicks and engagement.
- Audit existing social presence and competitive landscape, evaluating trends to inform and build a targeted strategy for growth.
- Manage social media contractors who help produce and schedule content as needed.
- 8+ years of experience working as a social media professional or community manager for a brand or publication.
- 2+ years of management experience.
- Proven track record of driving strategy for a brand's cohesive social presence across multiple platforms.
- Experience with shopping content and platforms, journalism/editorial background a plus.
