Position Overview:

This role offers a competitive compensation range, with salary variations based on job level and geographic location.

The Financial Operations Analyst is responsible for managing billing and receivable transactions while ensuring accurate reconciliations of cash payments received by the organization. You will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of a new receivable system as the company expands. Additionally, you will assist in the financial statement closing process, which includes preparing journal entries, financial reports, and reconciliations. This position reports directly to the Director of Technical Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory filings for multiple entities by creating assigned statutory financial statement pages and schedules.
  • Assist in analyzing account balances and income statement activities in response to inquiries from various state departments.
  • Take ownership of annual state form filings across multiple states and companies.
  • Facilitate communication with state departments to address their requests directly as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information in a timely manner.
  • Support the unclaimed property escheatment process.
  • Help in gathering and reconciling tax-related balances.
  • Assist with the remittance of tax payments and coordination with tax vendors.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience in conveying financial information effectively.
  • Experience in managing or leading projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of complex accounting concepts and systems.
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheets with advanced functions and formulas.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting techniques, and internal controls.
  • Experience in drafting accounting memorandums on complex issues and summarizing findings for a non-technical audience.

Work Environment:

This position allows for a flexible work arrangement, requiring a minimum of 10 days per month in the office.
