Job Title: Investments Program Manager

Stanford University is seeking a highly skilled Investments Program Manager to join our team at Stanford Impact Labs. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for managing the operations of our investment approach, supporting the Director of Investments in managing our growing grant portfolio, and working closely with our Program Officer and Impact & Learning Manager to design and execute operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the operations of our investment process, including administering the application process from end to end and managing portfolio reporting.
  • Support the Director of Investments in managing our growing grant portfolio, including recruiting and engaging subject matter experts and managing the budget and approving expenditures.
  • Work closely with our Program Officer and Impact & Learning Manager to design and execute operational improvements, including collecting and analyzing data, writing reports, and reviewing and explaining trends.
  • Represent the Investments team within Stanford Impact Labs and beyond, including chairing meetings and following up on action items.
  • Support due diligence, including conducting background research, attending interviews, and drafting memos.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Meticulous, detailed-oriented, and organized, with project management experience and a demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines in dynamic environments.
  • Passion for Stanford Impact Labs' mission, vision, and values.
  • Solve problems, with demonstrated creativity, critical analysis, initiative, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Eager to learn and improve, with demonstrated experience proactively finding opportunities to improve the efficiency of processes in pursuit of an overarching goal.

  • Clear communicator and structured thinker, with superb communication skills, including synthesizing, interpreting, and presenting complex information to a variety of audiences, both in writing and verbally.
  • Build effective relationships, with demonstrated ability to influence colleagues at all levels and collaborate effectively across functions.
