Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Technical Program Manager, you will:
  • Define and oversee significant programs that have wide-ranging organizational, business, and technical implications.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership in collaboration with Engineering and Product Management, ensuring effective communication across teams to achieve outstanding program results.
  • Utilize strong, data-driven technical judgment to inform decision-making processes.
  • Engage directly with Software Engineers and Product Managers to design, develop, and launch the next generation of ZipRecruiter services and applications.
  • Enhance your influence by educating and mentoring the TPM and Engineering teams on best practices in program management.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve organizational execution, thereby increasing engineering productivity through streamlined tools and processes.

Qualifications:
A successful Lead Technical Program Manager at ZipRecruiter will possess:
  • A minimum of 7 years of proven experience leading medium to large-scale engineering projects in contemporary cloud technologies.
  • The ability to excel in a fast-paced environment characterized by ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Experience collaborating across various functions, including engineering and product management, throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Strong program management skills complemented by technical and business acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, consultation, and organizational abilities.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (e.g., familiarity with SQL, Python, Data).
