The Production Team Leader plays a critical role in directing the workflow of a manufacturing team to ensure timely and high-quality assembly processes. Key Responsibilities

  • Assign team tasks and lead daily production efforts to meet manufacturing deliverables
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Plug Power products and assembly protocol
  • Establish goals for the team and work to continually improve production metrics related to quality and throughput
  • Set a tone for work quality and accountability within the team
  • Cross-train team members in various assembly and manufacturing processes
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering staff to develop and define assembly procedures
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with colleagues
  • Lead 5S efforts and set the vision and example for all team members to follow
  • Work with production scheduler to control materials usage and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Analyze data and prepare reports as needed
  • Adhere to safety standards and enforce safe work habits with all team members
  • Assist in performance management activities, including preparation of performance evaluations and recognition efforts

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred
  • Manufacturing industry experience; preferably within a technology product manufacturing facility
  • Previous supervisory experience highly preferred
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphere
  • Superior interpersonal skills and communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency with project management and team leadership
  • Role model for high standards of professionalism
  • Results-oriented and driven work style
  • Excellent task-oriented follow-through
