Job Overview

The role involves overseeing a team of workers engaged in the production of optical components or systems. The position requires leadership and coordination to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs a group of staff and organizes workflow priorities.
  • Interprets and follows technical plans, material lists, and guidelines, delegating tasks accordingly.
  • Performs standard production tasks and ensures timely completion of necessary documentation.
  • Addresses specific customization requests.
  • Facilitates training and guidance for team members to achieve production goals within set timelines.
  • Adheres to all company policies, safety regulations, and participates in crew member evaluations.
  • Ensures that management objectives are consistently met.
  • Engages in recruitment processes as required.
  • Informs planners of any potential scheduling conflicts.

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, all roles are also accountable for:

  • Meeting established company standards for both quantity and quality of work consistently.
  • Following company policies and guidelines regarding workplace conduct while performing job duties.

The organization reserves the right to modify or assign additional responsibilities to this position.

Compensation: Hourly pay rate ranges from $28.00 to $35.00.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to handle, manipulate, or assemble small parts and components. Tasks may involve prolonged periods of standing or sitting and may include repetitive actions. The position may require exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. Employees may encounter substances such as acetone and epoxy, and work environments may be noisy. Proper personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient in English with basic mathematical skills and computer literacy.
  • Familiarity with basic mechanical and electrical repair techniques.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced operational knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
