We are seeking a highly skilled Palo Alto Network Security Specialist to join our dynamic team at Brooksource. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security and extensive experience with Palo Alto Networks firewall technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Secure Network Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure to protect our organization's data assets.
  • Configure and Maintain Firewall Policies: Configure and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewall policies, including rule creation, modification, and optimization.
  • Monitor and Analyze Network Traffic: Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify and mitigate security threats using Palo Alto Networks firewall features such as Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, and WildFire.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network security solutions that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Network Security Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve network security issues in a timely manner, including analyzing firewall logs and conducting packet captures.
  • Provide Technical Guidance and Support: Provide technical guidance and support to junior network engineers and other team members.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with the latest Palo Alto Networks technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our network security posture.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certification: Certified Palo Alto Networks Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in network security engineering with a focus on Palo Alto Networks firewall technologies.
  • Skills: Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewall platforms, including PA-Series, VM-Series, and Panorama. Proficient in configuring and managing Palo Alto Networks firewall policies, NAT, VPN, and SSL decryption. Strong understanding of network protocols, OSI model, and TCP/IP stack. Experience with network security tools and technologies such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
