Network Administrator Job Description

LaSalle Network is partnering with a well-known organization in the Nashville area to find a skilled Network Administrator to join their team on a contract basis. This role requires the ability to work on-site in Nashville and involves providing technical support for the organization's network environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess network needs and install components to ensure optimal performance
  • Develop and implement security policies for Software Defined (SD)-Access networks
  • Manage Cisco SD-Access and identity service engine (ISE) security policies
  • Update and manage documentation for LAN and WAN networks
  • Define network project scope and goals based on business requirements
  • Identify, oversee, and coordinate upgrades to network assets and infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with wired and wireless networks, as well as VLANS
  • Conduct and analyze sniffer traces with comprehensive TCP/IP protocol knowledge
  • Lead the review and implementation of network projects and address technical issues as required
  • Respond to unexpected network or computing disruptions
  • Establish hardware access for router, switch, and server use by users
  • Analyze equipment performance records to determine repair or replacement needs
  • Assess hardware and software requirements for network changes
  • Install enhancements and procedures to improve network availability
  • Collaborate with users to identify system issues
  • Ensure network configuration complies with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) controls
  • Evaluate network topology and devise strategies for network resilience
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when necessary
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a Cisco environment
  • Familiarity with Cisco products such as ISE and Cisco SD-Access
