We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing and resolving issues with electronic and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical software equipment, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective measures as necessary. Analyzing root causes is essential for success in this position. This role requires onsite presence during day shift hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and schematics.
  • Utilize machines or hand and power tools to secure components.
  • Assemble components on panels or printed circuit boards, connecting leads using advanced soldering and crimping techniques.
  • Install completed assemblies into cases and cabinets.
  • Attach functional and aesthetic hardware to assemblies using appropriate tools.
  • Conduct continuity tests on finished assemblies.
  • Assemble, configure, and test equipment systems.
  • Troubleshoot and calibrate systems, performing necessary repairs and adjustments.
  • Install and verify preferred software configurations.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble, wire, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair components and tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Set up, test, and calibrate units or subassemblies to meet specifications.
  • Troubleshoot products and tools, performing repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and engineers to swiftly resolve product and procedural issues.
  • Resolve most issues independently, escalating complex problems as necessary.
  • Analyze test data against established criteria for pass/fail outcomes.
  • Provide estimates for Repair Orders.
  • Perform tasks with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required.
  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or Trade School Certification preferred, or equivalent military experience may be considered.
  • Experience with detailed documentation of work orders, process data, and test results.
  • Strong soldering and wiring skills, with a solid understanding of mechanical principles.
  • J-STD-001A Certification preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong understanding of electronic symbols, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Ability to recognize colors within the visible spectrum and adhere to wiring specifications.
  • Ability to read text heights of .0540" on blueprints and work instructions.
  • Proficient in using electronic test equipment (e.g., DMM, oscilloscopes).
  • Willingness to engage in quality improvement initiatives and provide constructive feedback.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Capable of operating a computer and office machinery with finger dexterity.
  • Effective communication skills for exchanging information verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs to shoulder height.
  • Capable of performing light physical tasks to lift or move materials up to 40 lbs.
  • Visual acuity for viewing computer screens.
