Position Overview:
The Energy Products and Services division at Cedarparktexasedc is at the forefront of innovation in the well construction and renewable energy sectors.

As a key member of a diverse, cross-functional team, the Electrical Manufacturing Specialist will spearhead initiatives to enhance and refine the production processes utilized in our facility.

This role emphasizes the support and enhancement of processes and machinery within our machining and assembly operations.

Key Responsibilities:


The primary measure of success in this position will be the effective performance of the processes under the Manufacturing Engineer's oversight concerning safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).

Essential traits for the ideal candidate include a shared commitment with area leadership to the success of these processes, an unwavering drive for improvement, and outstanding problem-solving capabilities.

The main responsibilities to achieve this success include:

  • Defining, stabilizing, enhancing, and supporting existing processes.

Typical Duties Include:


Implementing timely and systematic enhancements to process stability and performance through meticulous problem scoping, root cause analysis, experimentation, and the execution and validation of solutions.

The outcomes of this work will typically involve new or revised process sequences, tooling, equipment, machine software, work instructions, routers, setup sheets, design of experiment test reports, process qualification reports, and product design modifications.

These tasks will also encompass addressing customer-facing and safety-related issues.

Utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to minimize waste and enhance the flow of value throughout the production process.

Employing classic process science and statistical methods to decrease process variation.

Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of defined processes, including SOPs, work instructions, Job Safety Analysis, PFMEA, control plans, and First Article inspection sheets.

Providing secondary support (after area lead) to resolve technical process challenges that production staff cannot address.

Systematically assessing innovative manufacturing process technologies and demonstrating excellence in project management to implement these technologies.

Ensuring timely and effective rollout of new products into the manufacturing areas.


Additional Responsibilities:


Collaborating with product engineering to assess designs for manufacturability and proposing feasible design modifications.

Designing processes (sequences, methods, tooling, parameters, instructions, etc.) for new product introductions.

Ensuring that new process qualification plans are established and executed promptly.

Providing technical guidance and support for any changes in Bill of Materials, suppliers, and other modifications affecting product form, fit, and function.

Leading continuous improvement initiatives aligned with strategic objectives.

Offering informal leadership and coaching to team members to implement best practices.


Qualifications:


BS in Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.

3-5 years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated competence in enhancing and implementing automation in Electrical and Mechanical systems, including process mapping and analysis.

Proven ability in systematic problem-solving.


Preferred Qualifications:


A degree or diploma in Mechatronics Engineering is preferred; a Master's degree is a plus.

3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Familiarity with Materials Science, GD&T, Engineering Drawings, wiring diagrams, and PLC.

Experience troubleshooting Mechanical and Electrical equipment.

2 or more years of direct experience with production equipment and its maintenance.

1 or more years of independent project management experience.

Experience in designing and applying precision production tooling.

Proficient in creating and maintaining production routers and work instructions.

Skilled in managing projects and resolving issues effectively.

Proficient in solid modeling, Team Center, and JD Edwards.

Experience coding in high-level languages such as Python or Microsoft .NET.

This position may require domestic travel to various locations.

Compliance with safety regulations at all facilities is mandatory, including participation in safety training and the use of required safety equipment.
