Job Summary:

The Director of Healthcare Access is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the revenue cycle, including the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Admissions, and Inpatient services.

This role involves planning, organizing, and directing all activities associated with the front end of the revenue cycle, ensuring compliance with established policies and regulations.

The Director is responsible for managing customer service, quality assurance, management reporting, budgetary requirements, records management, registration, eligibility, point-of-service collection, payer information, employee system training, and EPIC application support.

This position ensures accurate, complete, and timely collection of patient information, maximizes revenue opportunities, and provides optimal customer service to internal and external customers.

The Director is also responsible for ensuring team members are well-versed in the Model AIDET guidelines and adhering to those guidelines in all interactions with patients.

This role requires compliance and training on healthcare access policies and regulations, including CMS, HIPAA, and other governing bodies.

The Director focuses on employee engagement, retention, and creates an environment of continuous learning and staff development.

This position reports to the Sr. Director of Healthcare Access and requires travel between various locations for skip rounding.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in the front end of the revenue cycle for hospital-based services, including the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Admissions, and Inpatient services.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
