Position Summary

The Nutritional Services Manager oversees the foodservice program, ensuring compliance with food quality standards and safety regulations in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality dining services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment for reporting to management.
  • Conduct training and quality control to ensure staff meet HCSG standards, including regular kitchen assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with client managers and staff to relay directives and maintain operational flow.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed, including the proper use of protective gear and cleaning solutions.
  • Adhere to infection control policies to maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Exhibit punctuality and timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Foster positive interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, the ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks efficiently. Qualifications include:
  • An associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality is preferred.
  • Specialized training in foodservice management and nutrition is required.
  • Certification as a Dietary Manager or completion of a Food Protection Manager course within the first two weeks of employment.
  • Two years of experience in food production/service and personnel supervision is desired.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform tasks in a food service environment.
