Position Summary
We are looking for a Trading Application Support Specialist to provide expertise in Front Office fixed income trading applications. This role is essential in supporting a range of products, including Forex (Cash and Options), Emerging Markets, Cash Rates, Derivatives, and Credit. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with traders, business analysts, and developers within a DevOps framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Address functional and technical challenges swiftly and document incidents as necessary.
- Diagnose issues within a complex financial ecosystem involving multiple applications.
- Manage critical situations and communicate effectively with users and senior leadership.
- Offer both functional and technical knowledge to enhance application solutions.
- Maintain transparent communication regarding application downtimes, updates, and ongoing projects.
- Coordinate with global development and support teams.
- Ensure prompt responses to end-user inquiries and meticulously document actions taken.
- Adhere to internal IT policies, standards, and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
- Proactive and results-driven with a background in fixed income financial products and trading systems.
- Team-oriented with strong prioritization and multitasking abilities in high-pressure settings.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with Client/Server applications.
- Familiarity with Windows/Unix environments and Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and environments.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of middleware technologies (e.g., Tibco, RMDS, Ultra Messaging).
- Experience with network configurations and financial products (FI/FX).
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
