Job Title: Floor Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Floor Care Specialist to join our team at Fortiss LLC / Parkwest Casinos. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all floor surfaces are maintained in a clean, sanitary, and visually appealing condition.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, strip, and vacuum floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Apply waxes, sealers, and other protective finishes to hard surfaces to ensure durability and longevity.
  • Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors to effectively clean and maintain floors.
  • Clean and maintain tile floors using appropriate cleaning solutions and techniques.
  • Perform routine inspections to identify areas needing repairs or replacement.
  • Seal tile as needed to maintain its appearance and durability.
  • Vacuum carpets thoroughly before shampooing and use carpet cleaning machines to shampoo and deep clean carpets.
  • Spot clean stains and ensure carpets are left in pristine condition.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in floor care, carpet, tile maintenance, janitorial, or maintenance is preferred.
  • Ability to pass mandatory screening, including a background check and drug test.
  • Knowledge of different types of marble and their properties.
  • Ability to identify cracks and other defects on the marble.
  • Attention to detail and ability to achieve a smooth, glossy finish.
  • Proficiency in using polishing equipment and tools.
  • Willingness to work in dusty and noisy environments.
  • Ability to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members.
Work Environment:

The team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

The team member is also required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The team member must stand and move through all areas of the casino and facility.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment noise level is usually moderate to loud.
