3RD (NIGHT)

Your next career opportunity is here Join our dedicated team on 4 West, a specialized 30-bed telemetry unit focused on the care of post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients.

This unit features 18 acute care beds and 12 intermediate care beds (IMU) designed for patients requiring a higher level of medical attention between the ICU and standard acute care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene and daily living activities to ensure optimal recovery during their hospital stay.
  • Execute fundamental nursing tasks as assigned by a Registered Nurse (RN) in accordance with established protocols to enhance patient health and wellness.
  • Ensure a secure environment and the safe provision of care.
  • Perform various administrative support tasks as needed.
  • Maintain required skills and competencies to provide high-quality care.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Compensation:
Hourly rate of $20.34

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
No prior experience required; relevant experience is preferred.

Licensure:
Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) certification through the Virginia Board of Nursing is required. Additionally, American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is mandatory.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This role involves frequent bending, stooping, and may require driving (for Home Health Aide roles). Candidates must possess proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail; and the ability to write legibly. The role may involve lifting, pushing, or pulling weights exceeding 100 lbs (for Home Health Aide roles). Exposure to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases may occur.
