Position Overview

Clinical Program Director

UHS is in search of a Clinical Program Director to lead the Behavioral Health Program. This role encompasses the management of a specialized inpatient unit dedicated to mental health care. Key responsibilities include: 1) designing and sustaining a premier treatment framework; 2) crafting and executing a thorough community engagement strategy; and 3) overseeing strategic initiatives, program management, and growth. The Program Director will be responsible for guiding both clinical and administrative personnel employed by UHS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison among the Program, Hospital, and UHS, ensuring effective communication of information and requirements
  • Uphold the missions, goals, and objectives of the Hospital and UHS
  • Provide leadership and direction in alignment with Hospital policies
  • Offer clinical oversight for nursing, counseling, patient support, and administrative teams within the Program
  • Collaborate with the assigned VP of Clinical Practice to develop, implement, and revise all policies and procedures for the Program
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and accrediting body regulations and standards in conjunction with the Hospital
  • Engage in evaluating and reassessing the needs of the patient population
  • Supervise patient care and establish guidelines for the accurate documentation of patient symptoms, reactions, and progress
  • Create processes to audit and coordinate ongoing education to guarantee all staff are proficient in proper documentation practices
  • Recruit, interview, and select qualified candidates for the Program
  • Foster professional development for staff by identifying needs, creating individual training plans, and facilitating training opportunities
  • Define the goals and objectives of the treatment program under the guidance of hospital administration and UHS leadership
  • Collaborate with medical and clinical teams to coordinate and manage comprehensive treatment plans
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure the quality of care provided

Qualifications:
  • Active RN license; BSN preferred
  • Post Graduate Degree is a plus
  • CPR, BLS, ACLS certifications required
