Job Summary

The retail pharmacist plays a critical role in delivering high-quality clinical care and patient experiences within our supervising pharmacies and remote dispensing sites. This role requires a champion for all clinical and operational initiatives, partnering with key stakeholders to drive strategic growth and development, program integrity, financial viability, and optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily operations of the pharmacy and its associated remote dispensing sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest patient experience standards.
  • Assist the Retail Pharmacy Team Leader in operationalizing all ThedaCare policies and procedures, ensuring seamless integration with pharmacy and remote dispensing site operations.
  • Champion clinical and operational initiatives, driving strategic growth and development, program integrity, financial viability, and optimal patient outcomes through collaboration with key service line stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the interdisciplinary patient care team, driving safe and effective patient outcomes through expert clinical judgment and decision-making.
  • Maintain operational knowledge of the 340B program, ensuring compliance and program intent in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (required)
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Certified Immunizer
  • State of Wisconsin Pharmacist Licensure
Work Environment

  • Climate-controlled office setting with daily movement throughout the hospital campus
  • Ability to move freely and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, sharp objects, and hazardous materials
  • Occasional contact with aggressive and combative patients
